Riyadh-based Poison Control and Medical Forensic Chemistry Center has obtained the accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), after passing the requirements that qualify it for accreditation. The Poison Control and Medical Forensic Chemistry Center is the first center in the Middle East to obtain this accreditation, which includes drug and forensic examinations, along with confirmation tests. The accreditation is the culmination of the center's efforts to provide high quality laboratory services at low cost.
It is worth mentioning that College of American Pathologists (CAP) is one of the most important accreditation institutions for medical laboratories in the world. Its membership includes a large number of pathologists, and plays a leading role in the quality assurance of medical laboratories worldwide.
