MOH: Al-Wadiah Border Crossing Point Receives More than 22,000 Pilgrims

​​The Ministry of Health (MOH) keeps on providing its preventive, therapeutic, and ambulatory services around the clock to the pilgrims arriving through the Health Control Center of Al-Wadiah Border Crossing Point in Sharourah Governorate.


Besides, MOH has received and provided its health services to 22,058 pilgrims until morning of Wednesday (Dhu Al-Qadah 28th). The center begins its tasks with visual screening of pilgrims since their arrival by bus, then by medical examination, providing them with preventive vaccines against epidemic diseases and meningitis, emergency and ambulatory services, in addition to comprehensive health education, as well as referring patients to Sharourah General Hospital.

It is worth mentioning that MOH has enhanced the center with additional workforce that reached 96 medical, technical and administrative employees in various specialties. Also, MOH has enhanced the center with state-of-the-art medical equipment and four well-equipped ambulances to serve pilgrims. Furthermore, MOH highlighted its strict adherence to the preventive measures used with suspected cases of epidemiological diseases, and their isolation at the center’s quarantine until their referral to Sharourah General Hospital; to confirm the diagnosis and treatment. Besides, MOH has taken a number of precautionary measures to ensure the safety of people, who are in contact with patients; to prevent the importation of epidemic diseases to the Kingdom.
