17 June 2019

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched the world health survey to build a health database for citizens and residents with the aim of assessing the performance of the health system and improving the lives of individuals.

The health survey promotes collective consciousness about the importance of national survey and reducing the spread of diseases, as well as the citizen's contribution and cooperation with the field team.

The importance of the health survey lies on building an environment that supports healthy living through linking the citizens with MOH and decision makers, in order to study the health status and problems in society, noting that the questionnaire includes medical measurements and examinations.

The implementation of the strategic project comes in line with MOH's working program to promote the health information system and identify the health priorities as well as providing comprehensive information on the health of population to help the decision-makers monitoring the overall picture of the public health system.

Also, the health survey project will contribute in developing an integrated database about population health by providing data on several health indicators that are not easily accessible in the administrative records such as population health status, risk factors and prevalence of diseases. This project supports the objectives of the sustainable development. MOH called on citizens and residents to cooperate with the health survey team.
