Over 12,000 Patients Served by Shobt Nisab General Hospital in 3 Months

According to the Northern Borders Health Affairs, over the first quarter of this year (2019), Shobt Nisab General Hospital has served more than 12,000 patients, with 8,830 emergencies, 3,422 outpatients, in addition to 447 inpatients.


“The hospital has also dispensed 58,566 medical prescriptions, and performed 3,372 lab tests, 82 surgeries (routine, emergency, and one-day surgeries), 388 radiology examinations, 125 dialysis sessions, in addition to 121 home medical visits,” stated the Affairs. 

It is worth mentioning that the Northern Borders Health Affairs features ten specialized medical centers (a cardiac center, three diabetes centers, three kidney centers, and three dental centers), as well as 11 hospitals with a 1,410-bed capacity, which are enhanced with a number of delicate medical specialties such as: neurosurgery, heart surgery, bariatric surgery, endoscopy, and others. Besides, the Affairs has 48 primary healthcare centers.
