By Allah's Grace, over the first week of Ramadan, doctors at Najran hospitals have successfully performed 326 surgical operations of various specialties.
According to Najran Health Affairs, the therapeutic and health services are provided to outpatients through two working shifts during the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to receiving all critical cases at the emergency departments and the readiness of 7 healthcare centers with an extended shift, and other 4 centers with 24 hours shift.
On other hand, in parallel with the holy month of Ramadan, the Affairs has launched an awareness campaign titled «Healthy Fasting» targeting visitors of public places, shopping malls, mosques, public parks and raising their awareness about obesity prevention and early detection of diabetes under the supervision of specialized medical and nursing staff.
It added that the diabetes screening clinic has checked around 786 persons during the first week of Ramadan and urged them to adopt a healthy lifestyle and exercising to maintain their health. The clinic advised 15 of them to consult diabetes centers and educated another 38 on the proper dietary patterns for preventing diabetes.
