Madinah: Badr General Hospital Enhanced with EPOC Blood Analysis
15 May 2019

According to Madinah Health Affairs, Badr General Hospital has been enhanced with the state-of-the-art Enterprise Point of Care (EPOC) Blood Analysis for testing cardiac enzymes «Troponin», in addition to pregnancy tests. Also, the hospital's blood bank has been equipped with a plasma-melting device. Badr Hospital conducts about 495 cardiac enzyme tests per month.

It is noted that cardiac enzyme tests is necessary for heart attack diagnosis. When a heart attack occurs, some heart muscle cells die and some of them may damage; thus leading to the enzymes leak out of these damaged cells, which rises the enzyme level in the blood.
