According to Madinah Health Affairs, over the past year, 1,576 inspection visits have been conducted to health facilities. Thus, 880 violations have been recorded and penalties have been imposed against 44 private health institutions. These violations included non-compliance with infection control systems, improper medical waste disposal, working of medical and technical personnel before obtaining professional practice licenses, existing of some unlicensed departments, and selling unregistered medicines.
Within the same vein, 245 violations have been referred to the competent specialized committees. Also, 1,040 complaints have been recorded and handled.
