His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of AL-Jouf, in the presence of His Excellency the Health Minister, Dr. Tawfiq Al Rabiah, inaugurated today (Sunday) a number of health projects in Al-Qurayyat Province. Immediately upon his arrival at the celebration site, he was received by the Health Minister and a number of officials. Then, accompanied by Dr. Al Rabiah, His Royal Highness toured Al-Qurayyat Hospital and checked on inpatients, and got acquainted with the developmental projects to be inaugurated. Addressing the ceremony, Al-Rabiah said, "We are pleased with these projects which embody the ongoing support to the health sector rendered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince - may Allah protect them, and their keenness to ensure safety and health of citizens".
He added that through the infrastructure development project at Al-Qurayyat Hospital, MOH sought to achieve the quality standards and to provide all requirement for raising performance efficiency, as well as other developmental projects, including enhancing the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department with 52 beds, by 74%, developing outpatient clinics and increasing their number by 135%. The projects also include launching the obesity center, developing the e-health system, central lab, blood bank, poison center, administrative building, operating rooms, endocrine and diabetes center and an in-house pharmacy.
"We also celebrate today a number of vital health, namely: completion of a cardiac unit, inaugurating King Faisal Hospital, laying the foundation stone for the development and rehabilitation of the kidney center, physiotherapy center, specialized dentistry center, emergency section, ICU center for adults, 7 healthcare centers, Al-Isawiyah Hospital and the mental health hospital" he said.
He went on saying that these projects will contribute to achieving a qualitative shift in the health services, with the imminent launch of open-heart surgeries at the cardiac unit, as well as reducing referral to hospitals outside the province. They also represent an addition to the health facilities in the province.
Concluding his statement Al-Rabiah extended his thanks to the Governor for his ongoing support to the health sector in the province, and to the staff of the health affairs for their efforts to upgrade performance and improve the health services provided for citizens in line with the National Transformation Program 2020 and Saudi Vision 2030. Then, Director of Al-Qurayyat Health Affairs delivered a speech. At the end, Prince Badr inaugurated the health projects in Al-Qurayyat Province.
