According to MOH, in 2017, 1,175 researches have been received, reviewed and implemented across the Kingdom, covering various topics, including health systems, internal medicine, heart, tumors, ophthalmology, genetics, dentistry, nursing, as well as other medical specialties.
In the same vein, MOH has organized, at the beginning of this week, the 1st Scientific Research Week Initiative under the theme "Assert Yourself, We Help You", with the aim of promoting researching, instilling the scientific research culture among MOH's staff, raising awareness about researching, guiding researchers towards high-quality researches and providing them with scientific and ethical consultations.
The 5-day initiative features several scientific activities and consultations to improve health services and to contribute to achieving knowledge economy, workshops for senior researchers at MOH's medical centers and cities and research consultation service, as well as an accompanying exhibition about the Research and Studies General Department's initiatives and projects. At the end of the week, academic research cooperation agreements will be signed with King Saud University, Umm AL-Qura University, Alfaisal University and Riyadh Elm University.
