MOH Activates World Day for Safety and Health at Work

​On the occasion of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has organized the Saudi Forum for Safety and Health at Work, and presented a scientific paper entitled "Occupational Safety in Health Facilities" and held a special pavilion in the accompanying exhibition.


The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is an annual international campaign to promote safe, healthy and decent working environment. It aims to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally through raising awareness, the international focus on the magnitude of the problem and on how promoting and creating a safety and health culture can help reduce the number of work-related deaths and injuries. 

MOH's Occupational Health Department aims to raise awareness about the importance of safety and occupational health in health facilities through providing safe and healthy working environment and preparing a health file for each worker to ensure the health and safety of workers.

MOH's scientific paper outlined the importance of the occupational safety and health measures in reducing the working environment risks in the health facilities. Also, MOH's pavilion in the forum's accompanying exhibition featured occupational hygiene devices and radiation protection and diseases and medical waste protection devices, as well as security and safety devices and systems in health facilities.
