09 April 2018

In 2017, Hail Health Affairs has launched 3 healthcare centers in (Al-Kihayfiyah, Um Sarout and Aspetar), and emergency sections (16 hours a day) at a number of healthcare centers, namely: Al-Ajfar, Al-Wesaita, Al-Badiah, Al-Samra, Al-Rawda and Al-Qaid. Also, therapeutic nutrition clinics were launched at the following healthcare centers: Qifar, AL-Jamiyeen, Al-Kmashia and Al-Aziziyah.

During the same period, the Affairs has launched 73 comprehensive consultation clinics (primary mental care initiative) at healthcare centers and accredited the family medicine higher studies center at Qifar Healthcare Center. Two training centers (Sheraf and Al-Wesaita) are expected to be inaugurated during the upcoming period.

It is noteworthy that 10 healthcare centers have obtained the accreditation of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), namely: Al-Muntazah Al-Sharqi, Sheraf, Al-Wesaita, Ajaa, Labda, AL-Jamiyeen, Al-Wadi, Qifar, Al-Hofair and Ash-Shnan. Also, 7 anti-smoking clinics were inaugurated and a family medicine curriculum enhancement initiative was implemented at these centers.

On the other hand, in 2017, the Ministry of Health (MOH) increased the cardiac centers by 46%, bringing the total of cardiac centers into 19 instead of 13. This has helped reduced referral of cases to specialized cardiac centers in big cities. As well, it has helped reduce transport and travel costs borne by such centers’ visitors.
This is part of MOH’s 2017 achievements report. This achievement is a direct outcome of building the right infrastructures, equipping cardiac centers and recruiting highly qualified doctors and visiting doctors to these centers.

In the same report, MOH also announced adding 89 new dental clinics in 2017, thus, bringing the total of dental clinics into 3,081 instead 2,992. This has helped boost health services quality and facilitate access to dental services through additional dental clinics across health centers and hospitals.
