Through MoH's Health Performance Program (Adaa'), King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital - Al-Jouf has successfully reduced patient’s waiting time to have MRI scans from 17.5 days to 7.5 days only. The Program has also helped reduce outpatient clinics’ appointment absence from 29% to 22%. In the same context, Prince Mutaib Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital has optimized operating rooms’ usability from 12% to 24%, reduced outpatient clinics’ appointment absence from 36% to 32% and reduced inpatients’ discharge time from 120 minutes to 46 minutes only.
Ministry of Health (MOH) continues its MOH Performance Program, which covers 70 main hospitals, including Mental Health hospitals. The program features over 40 indicators to measure the performance of 7 key therapeutic aspects, including: (emergency, clinics, surgeries, hospitalization, ICU, radiology and labs.) The program is also designed to develop health professionals to handles these indicators and discover potential improvements. MoH Performance Program seeks to boost productivity rates, as well as performance efficiency and quality of providing health services in hospitals.
