The Radiology Department of Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, over the last year, conducted 203,323 diagnostic and interventional tests at all of its divisions, including MRI, CT scan, interventional radiology, mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, in addition to x-ray and fluoroscopy.
The hospital's radiology department is one of the largest and modern medical imaging centers in Makkah region, as it witnesses an impressive qualitative shift in the diagnostic and interventional services which benefit patients in Makka and neighboring villages, as well as visitors, Umra performers and pilgrims.
According to Makkah Affairs, the hospital's outpatient clinics served 89,979 patients over the past four months. Also, MOH’s Performance Program «Adaa’» was implemented during the past seven months with special focus on timely input of correct data in the hospital’s network to improve output and statistics. As a result, waiting time was reduced from 60 to 21-24 days at the present time.
It is noteworthy that the outpatient clinics, at a capacity of 242 clinics weekly, feature different surgical and internal medicine specialties, subspecialties, osteoporosis and intravenous thrombosis. They also receive patients referred by specialized centers and hospitals for some specialized diseases, and feature a number of specialized devices in the field of ear, respiratory examination, laser devices, phototherapy, as well as support clinics, including two clinics for gauze, gypsum and x-ray.
