King Salman bin Abdulaziz Hospital- Riyadh: 50 Beneficiaries of Medical e-Record
04 February 2018

According to Riyadh Health Affairs, 50 patients have benefited from the electronic transformation services provided by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Hospital last month by using the medical e-record, which culminates eight months of non-stop efforts by both e-health and medical records professionals. This transformation is expected to facilitate access to patient's record whenever needed. This - in turn - speeds up services and ensures having a unified medical record for each patient.

"This transformation covers radiology, pharmacy and lab departments, by receiving requests, creating reports, dispensing drugs, analyses requests and entry of lab results into the system. So far, the medical reports (detailed reports - sick leaves), inpatient discharge summaries, reports dispatch, creation and follow-up have been transformed from paper-based to be 100% digital. Presently, a performance indicator program is being developed to ensure real-time interaction with patients' needs and to deliver electronically interactive reports.", added the Affairs.

It is noteworthy that the MOH has launched a daily specialization-based e-Waiting List for surgical operations on its online portal. The list features the MOH's hospitals, along with surgical specializations and corresponding waiting days respectively. The list also includes five levels of waiting days, from one to 180 days. By launching this initiative, MOH aims to update all patients and beneficiaries of services provided by its health facilities on the developmental efforts to boost performance levels, and to provide high quality services to satisfy and meet the health needs of citizens.
