2,518 Individuals Vaccinated Against Seasonal Influenza during King Abdulaziz Camel Festival

​The Ministry of Health (MOH) has continued providing its health services during King Abdulaziz Camel Festival. So far, around 2,518 visitors and participants in the festival have been vaccinated against the seasonal influenza. The vaccination teams have received great response from individuals in direct contact with camels, who are the most vulnerable to infection.  ​​

In the same vein, the health awareness team continued targeting the festival's visitors with awareness messages about respiratory diseases, influenza…etc. MOH provides healthcare for participants and visitors during the festival, through 24/7 clinics across the festival area, including triage, preventive, therapeutic and mental clinics, in addition to a mobile clinic for emergency cases.

Likewise, 3 healthcare centers, adjacent to the festival, have been geared up, namely: Rimah Healthcare Center, Al-Hafnah Healthcare Center and Al-Rumhiyah Healthcare Center, in addition to Rimah General Hopsital. They all operate 24/7. Also, 7 emergency teams were provided, in addition to a specialized team to transport infected cases.
