A medical team at the Cardiac Center of King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC) - Makkah, has successfully saved the life of a young man after removing a bullet lodged in his heart.
According to KAMC, the patient was transferred from Alnoor Specialist Hospital and initial diagnosis revealed that he was accidently hit by a bullet form an air gun. After due medical and radiological checkups to determine the possibility of removing the bullet through a catheter or surgery, it was found that the bullet penetrated his chest and lungs and lodged in his heart with bleeding in the lung and heart. In an urgent surgical operation, the team removed the bullet without complications. After recovery, the patient was discharged from the hospital in good health, thank Allah.
