In a qualitative leap that aims to reach all segments of the target groups, Ministry of Health (MOH), in the presence of Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, has launched first mother and child clinic at Hayat Mall - Riyadh. According to MOH, the initiative seeks to activate community engagement and cooperation, to provide health services at public places, in addition to medical consultations and awareness activities to outpatients.
According to MOH, the clinic's tasks include triage tests and early detection of diseases, such as the early screening of breast and colon cancers, osteoporosis and blood pressure. The clinic also offers clinical tests, refers certain cases to reference facilities, and promotes the importance of balanced healthy food, breastfeeding, women's awareness, counseling, as well as ensuring normal growth of babies and referring them to concerned bodies, if needed. Likewise, the clinic helps raise the awareness of the importance of balanced healthy food for children as per age groups, exercising and health promotion. Hayat Mall's clinic provides its services through a female team of health educators, mammogram technicians, doctors, a nurse and osteoporosis radiographers.
