Al-Qunfudhah Medical Rehabilitation Center: 12,093 Therapeutuc Sessions Done

The Medical Rehabilitation Center (MRC) of Al-Qunfudhah General Hospital continues offering its physical therapeutic services to patients. One of the most important reference centers, MRC rehabilitates various cases referred by internal divisions, outpatient clinics and other physical departments, using state-of-the-art medical appliances instead of drugs.
 
The Center features various cutting-edge medical devices, including electro radiological therapeutics, aqua therapy and therapeutic exercise. The Center has conducted 12,093 therapeutic sessions in 1438H. MRC also receives nervous system impairments, including: (paraplegia -  tetraplegia - polio), as well as bone and muscular problems, back and neck pains, muscle cramps, arthralgia and foot repair. The Center also helps rehabilitate the affected organ, ensure joint flexibility, empower muscles, enhance and maintain amputation-survived parts, train patients on  prosthetic devices. IN addition, MRC trains patients on rib cage exercises, normal breathing, thoracic and cardiac surgeries to reduce cardiovascular side effects, plastic surgery to prevent potential deformities, in addition to nutrition and internal diseases through practicing certain exercises to mitigate other illnesses, including: diabetes, degenerative diseases and cancer. Al-Qunfudhah Affairs provides medical services through 5 hospitals and 43 healthcare centers.
 
It is noted that MOH's Performance Program, which covers 70 main hospitals. The program features over 40 indicators to measure the performance of 7 key therapeutic aspects, including: (emergency, clinics, surgeries, hospitalization, ICU, radiology and labs.) The program also aims to develop the skills of professional professionals to use the indicators and to identify performance improvement potentials, in compliance with patient safety and quality standards.
