Al-Qurayyat General Hospital’s Premarital Screening Center has conducted 1,979 medical tests for couples intending to marry, since the beginning of this year (1438H). Their test results showed 14 genetic disorder cases and 11 infectious disease cases. The Healthy Marriage Program aims to control genetic and infectious diseases, to avoid the social psychological problems for families whose children suffer and to raise the awareness about the comprehensive healthy marriage concept.
On the other hand, 2,875 persons have donated blood to the hospital’s blood bank over the same period.
