The Emergency Sections at the hospitals in Riyadh Region have provided their services, via 42 hospitals inside and outside Riyadh, to more than 160,000 emergency cases over the past month.
The cases received at emergency section include those of traffic accidents, births and children and other cases that have been handled by qualified medical cadres trained on handling emergency cases. Therapeutic services have been provided to a number of cases, who have been discharged from hospitals after receiving proper treatment, while some of them have been admitted to inpatient sections to receive the necessary medical care. King Salman bin Abdulaziz Hospital received the majority of these cases (totaling more than 27,000 cases), followed by King Khalid Hospital in Al-Kharj that received more than 18,000 cases.
