Thanks to Allah, a medical team at Uhud Hospital in Madinah, managed to save the life of a child who swallowed a strange object (whistle) that settled in the trachea before reaching the lungs. The child was brought to hospital with shortness of breath and was at the risk of having severe pneumonia and several other complications.
Immediately, the medical team at the ENT department, the only department in Madinah Region doing rigid bronchoscopy, decided to conduct binocular procedure on the child, during which the whistles was removed to prevent more damage to the lining of the trachea and lungs.
