A medical team at the Maternity and Children Hospital in Najran managed to diagnose the disease of a 10-month-old girl with a fever of six days, diarrhea and poor oral feeding, poor activity and a rash.

After being referred to the Maternity and Children Hospital she underwent clinical examination which showed high fever, inflammation of conjunctivitis, rash, redness and swollen hands, while laboratory tests showed an increase in the number of white blood cells, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), 140, with positive C-reactive protein (CRP) test. Cardiac imaging also showed an enlarged left coronary artery of the heart. The condition was diagnosed, and instantly intravenous immunoglobulin was given, as well as appropriate aspirin doses, and her condition has improved, thanks to Allah.
