The plan also includes the opening of a clinic in each health sector in Jazan region by the end of 2017, all targeting women between the ages of 40 to 69 years, and is working to refer positive cases to hospitals that have the mammogram device.

By this move, the MOH aims to activate the awareness services about self-examination of breast, mammogram (the x-ray picture of chest), management of ideal lifestyle and means of psychological and family support. It is important in this stage to educate targeted segments about the importance of early detection which starts with self-examination, as well as educating people about the most important symptoms that may show up during examination.

The MOH calls on women not to hesitate to request medical counseling that may save some of cases at risk of breast cancer.
