Endoscopy Section of Mina al-Share' al-Jadeed Hospital Fully Prepared

The director of Mina al-Share' al-Jadeed Hospital, Dr. Khalid Al-Shahrani, said that the hospital is one of the four hospitals in Mina. It provides its services for the diseased pilgrims, as maintaining the pilgrim's health is one of the top priorities to perform the Hajj rites easily and smoothly. 

Dr. Al-Shahrani said that the hospital is prepared to provide integrated health services for pilgrims around the clock, thanks to the big support provided by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and His Royal Highness the Deputy Crown Prince, and under the close follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Khalid Al-Falih. This is intended to enable pilgrims to perform the Hajj rites easily and safely.

He revealed that the hospital accommodates 50 beds, divided as follows: 16 intensive care (IC) beds, 16 emergency beds, 7 heat exhaustion beds to treat sunstroke cases, and 4 modern dialysis devices, in addition to 11 outpatient clinics, and a clinic for infection control and preventive medicine, aside from an integrated endoscopy unit for the upper and lower digestive system.   

He added that the hospital's programs include a program for boosting workers' health awareness, aiming at educating the patients and workers in the hospitals about the all preventive measures, in addition to workshops on how to deal with the epidemiological cases. Besides, different simulations are carried out to identify the readiness of the workers to deal with such cases. He indicated the hospital has received those who are assigned to work in it during Hajj, They are 280 male and female employees, covering medical, technical and administrative areas.         

Al-Shahrani went on to say that the Hospital includes supportive medical sections such as the Laboratory, which is fully equipped with all equipments necessary to conduct required examinations with the accurate standards. The Radiology Section is equipped with the most advanced equipments to provide diseased pilgrims with best-quality services. In addition, the pharmacy, statistics and medical records sections were prepared to provide all the needed services for patients. He prayed for Allah Almighty to grant pilgrims complete health and wellness, and to make them return to their homes healthily and safely.
