Eng. Faqih Holds a Meeting with MOH Senior Officials to Discuss its Plan during the Coming Period

​His Excellency the Acting Minister of Health Eng. Adel bin Mohamed Faqih held the first ministerial meeting with the Ministry of Health (MOH)'s senior officials, including its vices and deputies, as well as the directors of health affairs general directorates. The meeting, which was held two days ago at the Ministry'sheadquarters, tackled the MOH's plan and roadmap for the coming period.
 
At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. Faqih expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his valuable trust, praying for Almighty Allah to support him to serve the homeland.
 
Eng. Faqih stressed the importance of adopting sublime values and principles to ensure a constructive communication and harmony among everybody. Those values include loyalty, honesty, perseverance, perfection, disclosure, transparency, and providing the medical servicessatisfactorily.
 
The “Road Map”, according to the MOH, is centered on two major pillars; the first has to do with accelerating and intensifying the efforts to contain the Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), whereas the second pillar has to do with the provision of health services, according to a scientific methodology that satisfies the needs and requirements of Saudi beneficiaries.
 
During the meeting, Eng. Faqih enumerated the steps taken to quickly contain and overcome the coronavirus disease, including the series of field visits, meant to inspect the extent of readiness of health facilities to address the virus, in addition to appointing a consultative medical board, including in its membership a constellation of health care experts and physicians specialized in infectious diseases, not to mention devoting main health centers for addressing the virus.
 
As the meeting drew to a close, His Excellency the Minister of Health, reiterated the importance of teamwork, thus contributing to bringing into reality the MOH's mission, based on clear scientific standards. Meanwhile, he called upon everybody to put forth their suggestions, with the aim of containing and overcoming the Coronavirus, as well as developing the health services provided by the Ministry.
