The MOH Provides Ambulances with Wireless and GPS Devices

Engineer Adnan Jameel Bushnaq, the Director of the Wireless Communications of the Western Region, affirmed that the Emergency and Field Medicine Center in Mai'asm has finished 50 percent of the Western Region Project for wireless communications.
 
It was launched this year to keep track of the movement of the ambulances via the artificial satellites and wireless communications.
 
He also added that the Wireless Communications Project in the Western Region is meant for linking the Holy Sites, especially Makkah, Mina, and Arafat; as well as Jeddah, Ta'if, and Madinah via modern and advanced surveillance cameras; in order to track the traffic of ambulances.
 
He went on to point out that the project aims to follow the movement and flow of ambulances via the artificial satellites; in order to facilitate doing their job as quick as possible, and to make its moving across roads easier.
 
It also help ambulances choose the closest and most appropriate road leading a patient to the nearest hospital; in order to receive the due health care.
 
He also added that the project has positive aspects in relation to speeding work of emergency and helping a patientonce a case is reported until they arrive in hospital.
 
Within the same vein, he made clear that the entire ambulances were provided with wireless devices as well as Global Positioning System (GPS) device; in order to help them communicate with the command and control room.
 
He also remarked that the project is going to be improved on during its second stage, during which the ambulances are to be provided with special cameras; with the aim of viewing a patient live and follow up their case while being within the ambulance, until they arrive in hospital in which they are going to be treated.
