610 Laboratory Technicians, More than 500 Fresh Devices in Service of the Hajj Performers in Laboratories

The Director of the Laboratories and Blood Banks Department of the Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate, Dr. Khudari pointed out that the laboratories and blood banks play an important role in diagnosing and treating some diseases.
 
He went on to commend the efforts exerted to that effect.

He also affirmed that the number of those working for this year's Hajj program is more than 610 laboratory technicians; they enjoy a great deal of efficiency.
 
Further, more than 500 new automated medical devices were provided, and there are more than 10 supportive medical sections within the laboratories providing their services for the Hajj performers.
 
They are chemistry section, hormones section, blood diseases section, blood bank, molecular and tissue examination section, parasites section, germs section, tuberculosis section, immunity section, serums section, and public health section.
 
It also mounted a blood donation campaign that met with an unprecedented success.

He went on adding that the regional laboratory in the Holy Capital was inaugurated; in order to provide its services for this year's Hajj performers.
 
This laboratory contributes to conducting the blood donors' tests to make sure of their being free of infectious diseases, as well as the molecular examinations of the epidemiological diseases such as novel influenza A, viral hemorrhagic fever, rift valley fever; and molecular examination for tuberculosis samples.
And the regional laboratory in the Holy Capital includes the central blood bank which Allah wiling, contributes to rescuing patients' lives in need of blood. And to that effect, a plan for emergency cases and accidents, Allah forbid, has been made by concerned officials in an accurate, careful way.
