Dr. Al-Rabeeah Leads the Saudi Delegation to the Meeting of the Arab Health Ministers Council in Cairo

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, is to lead the Saudi delegation participating in the 39th Regular Session of the Arab Health Ministers Council and its Executive Board, to be held on Wednesday and Thursday, 13-14/3/2013 (corresponding to 01-02/5/1434H) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo, Egypt.
 
This was pointed out by the MOH Offical Spokesman, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Marghalani, adding that a number of topics on the agenda are to be discussed at the meeting, including combating non-communicable diseases, maternal health, and promoting nursing and midwifery services in the Arab world. That is to be added to discussing the issue of health, environment and harmonization of the health legislation in the Arab world, aside from discussing the health situation of Syrian refugees in the neighboring countries as well as discussing the health situation in Palestine. Moreover, the meeting is to review the reports of the centers and councils affiliated to the Arab Health Ministers Council (the Arab Board of Health Specializations “ABHS” and the Arabization Center for Medical Sciences “ACMLS”), as well as discussing the unified address of the Arab Health Ministers Council before the session no. (66) of the General Assembly of the World Health Organization (WHO).
 
It’s noteworthy that the delegation comprises the MOH Vice Minister for Planning and Development, Dr. Mohammad Khoshaim, the MOH Deputy Minister for public Health, Dr. Ziad Memish, the Supervisor-General of the MOH International Relations, Dr. Afaf bint Al-Shammary, the Director of the National Program for Combating AIDS, Dr. Sana Filimban, and the Minister’s Secretary, Mr. Sultan Al-Assaf.
