MOH Organizes a Workshop on Primary Healthcare Accreditation Standards

   The MOH's Health Centers General Department is organizing the second introductory workshop on primary healthcare accreditation standards on 16/1/1433H (11/12/2011) around the Kingdom, for the primary healthcare training officials, as well as health centers directors, technical assistants and nursing supervisors in the health centers assigned to implement the standards at Al Qassim and Al Riyadh regions. The 4-day workshop will be in Jeddah, with the participation of 50 trainees. It aims to improve the quality of health services provided in health centers, and ensure the optimal utilization of the available resources and potentials, in light of the accredited standards. In addition, the workshop seeks to qualify trainers to train the employees working for the health centers included in the first stage, aiming to meet the accreditation standards in regards of primary healthcare activities and services.
 
Besides, the workshop aims to accomplish a range of short-term targets, including introducing the concept of accreditation and its crucial role in ensuring ongoing development for the provided health services, as well as informing trainees of the basic information about the accreditation standards and their implementation requirements, and educating participants about the concepts, elements and aspects of comprehensive quality, in addition to improving the services provided for visitors according to the accreditation standards.
 
Among the long-term objectives, on the other hand, is to provide high quality health services that satisfy visitors and meet the workers' ambitions. A constellation of specialists in the field of quality and accreditation from Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and other related health sectors will participate in the workshop.
