Sheikh Ayed Al Qarni Praises the Efforts of the Minister of Health
03 December 2011
Sheikh Ayed Al Qarni, the well-known Islamic preacher has praised the efforts exerted by His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin AbdulAziz Al Rabeeah to serve the country, the nation and the religion. “I testify, purely for Allâh , that the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin AbdulAziz Al Rabeeah has offered our country and our religion the greatest medical achievements, greater than thousands of lectures and lessons. With his contribution, our country has become the center for medical healing, and the image of Islam, distorted by terrorism and extremism, has improved. May Allâh  reward him for all his work,” Sheikh Al Qarni said.
Sheikh Ayed Al Qarni stated in his speech at the Saudi Forum “Uniting Arab Countries to Combat AIDS” that medicine is part of faith. In this respect, Imam Al-Shafi'i says: "Knowledge is of two types: knowledge of religions and knowledge of physic; while the role of scholars is to educate the mind, the role of physicians is to heal the body." Our religion should be spread everywhere, as it’s the solution of human diseases. Tonight we are discussing a human tragedy caused by the sins of humans. We are all human beings and we all commit sins, as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “All the sons of Adam are sinners, but the best of sinners are those who repent." We should all help AIDS patients and stop judging them. Allâh  says in the Holy Qur'an (interpretation of the meaning): “And those who, when they have committed Fahishah [illegal sexual intercourse etc.] or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allâh  and ask forgiveness for their sins; - and none can forgive sins but Allâh  - And do not persist in what [wrong] they have done, while they know.” (Surah Al 'Imran, 135). Also, Allâh (Exalted and Glorified be He) says: “Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allâh. Indeed, Allâh forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (Surah Al Zumar, 53)
At the end of his speech, Sheikh Al Qarni thanked the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin AbdulAziz Al Rabeeah, and praised the medical sector, clarifying their great reward from Allâh. On the other hand, he mentioned the severeness of their faults, as Ibn al Rumi, the prominent Arab poet, once implemented. Sheikh Ayed Al Qarni has expressed his thanks toward the Saudi writer Al Subaie for highlighting the efforts of Dr. Al Rabeeah and making him an honorable figure. In addition, he thanked the female audience for their efforts and praised women's role and the equality between men and women.
