At the direction of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, May Allâh protect him, to develop the health sector, improve its performance, and support it with proficient health competencies, and seeking to enhance the MOH's programs meant provide high quality medical services to patients and gain their contentment, and within the framework of the MOH's ongoing grand steps towards the development of performance and fulfillment of aspirations thereby putting into action the MOH's slogan “Patient First”, and in line with the new MOH's new organizational structure approved by the Ministerial Committee for Administrative Organization, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has taken sixteen assignment decisions.
According to these decisions, Dr. Zeyad bin Ahmed Memish was named the Deputy Minister for General Health, Dr. Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Yamani the Deputy Minister for Planning and Health Economics, Ph. Salah bin Fahad Al-Mazrou' the Deputy Minister for Supply and Engineering Affairs, Dr. Aqeel bin Jam'aan Al-Ghamdi the Assistant Deputy Minister for Hospital Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Omar Basliman the Assistant Deputy Minister for Primary Health Care, Ph. Ali bin Hussein Al-Zawawi the Assistant Deputy Minister for Private Health Sector, Dr. Munirah bent Hemdan Al-Essaimi the Assistant Deputy Minister for Supportive Medical Services, Dr. Mohammed bin Fuaad Zamakhshari the Assistant Deputy Minister for Planning and Training, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz the Assistant Deputy Minister for Engineering Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim bin Sa'eed Hafez the Assistant Deputy Minister for Supply and Employment, Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Wehaibi an Advisor to the Minister of Health and Supervisor-General of Information and Communication Technology, Mr. 'Eqab bin 'Abboud Al-Qahtani the Director-General of Own Resources, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Wade'i the Director-General of Specialized Centers and Visiting Doctors, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Rafe'i the Director-General of Dentistry, Dr. Ali bin Fahad Al-Mesned the Director-General of Radiology and Application Services, and Eng. Anas bin Abdullah Al-Zaid the Director General of Safety.
The Organizational Structure stipulates the designation of two deputies minister for the first time in the MOH's history, with the consent of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. They are His Excellency Dr. Mansour bin Nasser Al-Howasi, named as the Deputy Minister for Health Affairs, and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Hamzah Khushaim, named as the Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development. It includes, also four deputies minister and nine assistant deputies minister, including a woman assigned as an assistant deputy minister for supportive medical services for the first time throughout the Ministry's history.
His Excellency the Minister of Health gave is orders to the new officials to make every effort to provide best-quality health services to patients and gain their contentment, thereby putting into effect the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, that “Nothing is more precious than the citizen's health.” He also encouraged them to improve the performance quality at all health facilities, in accordance with the comprehensive and integrated healthcare program, which ensures the accomplishment of the values and principles of justice, equality and comprehensiveness in the distribution of health services and making them accessible for all citizens. He also prompted them towards the accomplishment of all projects meant to preserve citizens' health and provide them the best-quality health services.
Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Rabeeah wished success for all of them, and called upon all the Ministry's employees to help the newly designated officials, and cooperate with them, in a way that achieves the public interest, and drives the Ministry towards further objectives and greater successes.
For their part, the newly assigned officials have expressed their unending gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, May Allâh protect them, and His Excellency the Minister of Health for their precious confidence, wishing to be always up to their expectations, and to make good use of their experience in the promotion and development of health services to fulfill the Leadership's aspirations and maintain patients' contentment.
It worth mentioning that, the last MOH Organizational Structure had been approved in 1403H. According to the new Organizational Structure approved by the Ministerial Committee for Administrative Organization, unlike the former one, there are four departments under the Minister's supervision. They are: Media, Relations and Health Awareness General Department, Patient Rights and Relations General Department, Legal Affairs General Department, Internal Follow-up and Auditing and Inventory Control. It is planned, also, that, under the supervision of the Advisor to the Minister for Health Affairs, there will be the Deputy Minister for General Health and the Deputy Minister for Curative Services, in addition to three departments: Employee Rights General Department, International Relations General Department, Medical Commission and Health Attaché General Department. Under the Deputy Minister for General Health there is the Assistant Deputy Minister for Preventive Health and the Assistant Deputy Minister for Primary Health Care. Under the Deputy Minister for Curative Services there are the Assistant Deputy Minister for Health Affairs, the Assistant Deputy Minister for Private Health Sector, and the Assistant Health Minister for Supportive Medical Services. Under the Deputy Minister for Planning and Development the Deputy Minister for Planning and Health Economics, the Deputy Minister for Supply and Engineering Affairs, in addition to the Quality and Patient Safety General Department and Health Services in Hajj and Umrah General Department. Under the Deputy Minister for Planning and Health Economics, there are the Assistant Deputy Minister for Planning and Training and the Assistant Deputy Minister for Health Economics. Under the Deputy Minister for Supply and Engineering Affairs, there are the Assistant Deputy Minister for Engineering Affairs, and the Assistant Deputy Minister for Supply and Employment.
