The Ministry of Health has launched inspection campaigns targeting expatriate and food worker screening centers as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen health oversight, safeguard public health, and enhance compliance with health regulations. These efforts aim to ensure the accuracy and safety of medical procedures, reinforce prevention and preparedness against health risks, and support the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
The Ministry stressed the importance of full compliance by facilities, including reporting infectious diseases through approved platforms, refraining from issuing health certificates without conducting actual medical examinations, and ensuring services are provided by licensed medical professionals. It also emphasized the need to maintain the required number of qualified staff, obtain all necessary regulatory approvals, use approved and valid medical devices and supplies, and provide properly equipped facilities in accordance with established standards.
Through these inspection campaigns, the Ministry seeks to enhance discipline and compliance, protect the health of citizens and residents, and prevent any violations that may compromise the quality and safety of healthcare services.
The field inspections aim to verify compliance with applicable health regulations, including the Law on the Practice of Health Professions and its Executive Regulations, the Private Health Institutions Law and its Executive Regulations, as well as other relevant health laws. The Ministry also called on the public to report any health violations through the Unified Contact Center (937), in support of safeguarding public health.
