The Ministry of Health launched the Women's Leadership Development Program in cooperation with the Women's Leadership Center at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, as part of its qualitative initiatives to enhance transformation and develop competencies, in the presence of the Deputy Minister for Human Resources, Abdulrahman Al-Aiban.
The program aims to qualify women leaders with innovative leadership skills to enhance their performance and role in the Ministry of Health. It targets 75 female leaders selected according to precise criteria regarding performance and efficiency. The training of the first cohorts has been successfully completed, and preparations are underway to train the second and third cohorts.
This initiative comes to support leadership diversity and expand the role of women in decision-making positions, which contributes to improving institutional performance and enhancing equal leadership opportunities. The program achieved qualitative results, as it focused on developing the leadership skills of participants through training programs that included design thinking, effective leadership, and self-awareness. It also enabled them to build an extensive professional network of relationships with female leaders from the health sector and contributed to enhancing cooperation and equal opportunities between the sexes.
At the end of the program, the participants presented innovative final projects that serve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in the health sector.
