Within the framework of interest in qualifying and caring for all societal groups, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr. Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Society for Community Services (AJWAD), attended the opening of the new homeless shelter center in Al-Uraija district in the city of Riyadh. The opening was accompanied by a tour around the center to get to know its services, and visited the beneficiaries of the services (AJWAD) provides, and reviewed its efforts.
(AJWAD) provides a range of social and health services for homeless and lost mental patients, as it represents a distinguished model in care and rehabilitation of mental patients through its center in Riyadh, which includes a group of specialized competencies and those with experience in dealing with this category on a therapeutic journey of receiving them and providing them with necessary care through diagnosis and medical intervention in qualified medical facilities affiliated with the Ministry of Health; Through rehabilitation programs in order to integrate this group into social life, and the association also contributes to providing a group of awareness and educational programs for patients’ families, and seeks comprehensiveness and expansion in providing its services in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
It is worth noting that the National Society for Community Services (AJWAD) is an official charitable society established in the year 1439H, and its Board of Directors is headed by His Excellency the Minister of Health. It seeks to care for the neediest categories of homeless, mentally sick patients and the lost ones, in integration with governmental efforts and the private and non-profit sector, to reach a vibrant society to achieve the goals of health sector transformation within Saudi Vision 2030.
