In the presence of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the meetings of the joint Finance and Health ministers of the G20 countries will start in India on the 18th and 19th of this August, with participation of His Excellency Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel.
The meeting of health ministers of G20 - which is held under the slogan (One Planet ... One Family ... One Future) - includes reinforcement of cooperation between the countries of the group and international health organizations in the field of public health. In preparation for building a global health network through which coordination rates will be elevated to provide treatments, vaccines and early diagnosis.
The meetings will also discuss a set of initiatives previously presented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the G20 Summit in Riyadh in 2020, which included the Vaccine Support Platform Initiative, the Digital Health Initiative, and the Health Quality Center, in addition to calling for a global conference to unify efforts to eradicate antibiotic-resistant microbes.
The group's meetings include a number of side meetings between ministers and leaders of international institutions concerned with public health, accompanied by round-table discussion sessions and dialogues.
