King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in Al-Jouf, in cooperation with the SEHA Virtual Hospital, has activated the track of the comprehensive stroke treatment program (Telestroke Machine) for all acute stroke cases, using the latest internationally available medical technologies. These technologies include clot-dissolving medications, and cerebral thrombus suction through catheter by an integrated medical team besides making use of experiences of several doctors specialized in stroke treatment all over the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Al-Jouf Health Affairs stated that all hospitals therein receive all acute stroke cases and appropriate treatment is timely provided. The fast track is one of the streams and pillars of health transformation programs, to achieve healthcare services for citizens by providing quick services, promoting timely access to healthcare, and reducing costs of Diagnosis and treatment.
It is worth noting that Emergency Department at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital provided its medical services in the first half of 2023 to more than 11,324 hospitals, in addition to providing inpatient services to 3,084 beneficiaries, and the medical teams managed to perform 1,344 surgeries.
