Doctors in Asir region provided advisory, therapeutic, preventive and educational services to more than 4,000 beneficiaries of home health care services.
Ministry of Health in Asir said: During the month of June, the Directorate carried out (7815) visits to home health care patients, where the number of beneficiaries reached (4975) patients, including (3528) elderly patients - over 65 years old, through (38) teams in (21) hospitals.
And it emphasized that the services provided included following up patients who had (bedsores), and carrying out dressings for wounds with follow-up, which numbered (88) patients, in addition to diabetes and blood pressure patients who were followed up and provided with treatment and prevention services from complications by (2073) diabetic patients and (2330) blood pressure patients. The follow-up team was also able to draw blood samples from patients using proper health methods for (364) patients to monitor their health status and discuss it medically in favor of the beneficiary’s pathological condition. Urinary catheterization services were also provided to (205) beneficiaries, as well as treatment services for (94) beneficiaries of nasal feeding tube patients.
Ministry of Health indicated that during the same period, (412) remote telephone visits were carried out, as well as (3531) visual visits, and (143) medical trips and medical supplies were conducted for the beneficiaries to their homes.
