A medical team in Al-Qunfudhah Governorate succeeded in extracting a car key from the respiratory tract of a forty-nine-year-old patient - who almost took his life - in a 15-minute operation through endoscope.
And the Ministry of Health in Al-Qunfudhah confirmed that the medical teams were able – All Praises be to Allah - to save the life of a 49-year-old patient who was brought to the emergency department, suffering from obstruction of the airway. Where it became clear, after conducting a clinical and radiological examination, that there was a car key in his airway.
The medical team supervising the case said: The patient was playing with the key, as indicated during the examination. Where it was decided immediately to enter the patient in the operations department, and to intensify his health care for him being a heart patient, and the surgical intervention was performed through the endoscope and the key was extracted, and the case is followed up through the inpatient department until his health condition stabilized and he left safely.
