Ministry of Health clarified that Seha Virtual Hospital has activated the Lunit INSIGHT CXR technology, which relies on artificial intelligence in analyzing chest X-rays, to serve pilgrims during this year's Hajj season.
The ministry indicated that the use of artificial intelligence algorithms has contributed to predicting diseases that may affect lungs and the heart. This increased the accuracy of doctors' evaluation of results, and prioritized critical cases that need urgent medical care. Thanks to this technology, doctors are able to identify the suspicious area in the X-ray images. This helped emergency departments in hospitals of the Holy Sites to identify the problem and diagnose disease cases more quickly and with higher accuracy.
This comes within MOH's efforts to invest in the latest advanced medical technologies to achieve optimal utilization of available medical services, in a way that contributes to improving the quality of health services, and raising the efficiency of performance in its health facilities; To serve pilgrims, and to achieve goals of the Health Transformation Program in the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
