Ministry of Health Launches the Virtual National Platform for Treatment of Structural Heart Diseases

Ministry of Health, represented by Seha Virtual Hospital and Innovation Empowerment Center, launched the virtual national platform for treatment of structural heart diseases, in the presence of representatives from National Heart Center of Saudi Health Council, Saudi Heart Association, Digital Government Authority, and Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, at the hospital’s headquarters in Riyadh.
The platform aims to employ modern technologies in the field of innovation to contribute to improving quality of health services provided to heart patients, and to develop appropriate treatment plans for them in accordance with international standards.
The Ministry explained that the platform is supervised by an elite group of doctors specialized in subspecialties in cardiology, so that they meet to discuss cases that require the replacement of the aortic valve, which are presented to them by the health authorities associated with them, in addition to the possibility of transferring knowledge and exchanging experiences between specialists in the field of pathology. The launch of this platform comes within the framework of Ministry of Health’s efforts to support healthcare services in a number of delicate and rare specialties while facilitating access procedures, as well as supporting knowledge capacity building, in line with the goals of National Transformation Program and the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
