By Allah’s Grace, organ transplant surgeons managed to transfer organs from a brain-dead patient at Al-Qunfudah General Hospital for another patient at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh. After getting the consent of the family of the brain-dead patient, the surgical team operated on him for 3 hours and successfully removed his kidneys before transferring them to Riyadh, with the help of Al-Qunfudah Health Affairs’ ambulatory teams.
It is to be noted that Al-Qunfudah General Hospital, since the beginning of this year, has performed more than 900 surgical operations. The 150-bed hospital provides its services in different medical specialties.
