According to Asir Health Affairs, since early this year (2020) to date, the total number of beneficiaries of health volunteering initiatives reached 36,5065. “267 health volunteering initiatives have been implemented with the participation of 2,283 male and female volunteers, spending a total number of 199,223 field volunteer hours. These initiatives featured many tasks and works in therapeutic, preventive, and other supportive health services,” stated the Affairs.
The Affairs added that the volunteer opportunities varied in the specialized professional field, including: supporting Vaccination Center, «Tetamman» Clinics, programs of «Eradah» Hospital for Mental Health, medical cities programs, patient experience programs, in addition to activating other initiatives, such as: «Know Your Numbers», the National Vascular Registry (NVR) Program, «Wazen» Program, Tele-Medicine Program, as well as Information Technology, Statistics and Data Science.
