According to Jazan Health Affairs, over the first quarter of this year, Samtah General Hospital has performed more than 600 surgeries, with 182 general surgeries, 233 caesarean sections, 166 orthopedic surgeries, 33 urological surgeries, 18 pediatric surgeries, 7 E.N.T. surgeries, 27 eye operations, and 16 vascular surgeries.
Within the same vein, the hospital’s medical team has successfully saved a person injured in a traffic accident that resulted in a pelvic fracture. After due examination, he was diagnosed with severe internal bleeding in the abdomen. The team decided to perform an urgent surgery to stop the bleeding. Hence, they stop the bleeding, and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the patient, and successfully completed the surgery. Then, he was referred to the IC unit to follow up his health status until discharge from the hospital in stable and good health.
