The Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched today an awareness campaign on hypertension under the theme (#ارتفاعه_نزول) (which means high and low pressure). It indicated that most people with high blood pressure, which is often called the “silent killer”, are unaware of the problem because it may have no warning signs or symptoms, although it can lead to heart diseases and stroke.
With the participation of many concerned parties, the campaign aims to raise the awareness of the community about the methods to prevent, control, and treat the disease and to shed light on the most prevalent disease in the Kingdom, targeting the patients in particular and the public in general.
It is to be noted that this awareness campaign comes in continuation of MOH’s efforts to maintain the health and safety of all members of society, promote health awareness, and encourage the adoption of healthy behaviors and prevention of chronic diseases’ complications.
