According to Al-Jouf Health Affairs, since early this year (2022), Prince Mutaib Bin Abdulaziz Hospital – Sakaka has performed 1,342 surgeries and examined 200 patients.
Over the same period, the medical team of the hospital's pediatric orthopedic department has successfully performed 32 closed reduction (CR) procedures for children with developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). Upon arriving the hospital, the patients were with limps and unable to walk properly. After due examination, each patient underwent three surgeries: achilles tendon lengthening (ATL) surgery, arthroplasty, and pelvic osteotomy; to prevent the dislocation again, while the gypsum continued to be applied for two months for each patient. By Allah’s grace, all surgeries were crowned with success.
