Al-Ahsa: Maternity and Children Hospital Saves a Girl with CDH

​​​Thanks to Allah, the medical team of Maternity and Children Hospital- Al-Ahsa has successfully performed a complex laparoscopic surgery for a seven-month-old girl with a rare congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) that caused her chest sensitivity and recurrent infections. After due examinations and diagnosis, the medical team decided to conduct a laparoscopic surgery, which has been crowned with success. The girl is currently receiving the necessary healthcare and her health condition is stable.


Within the same vein, the medical team of the hospital has successfully saved a child, who was suffering from an intestinal obstruction. He was admitted to the hospital in an unstable condition, with a deterioration in the level of consciousness. The medical team has performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the operating room, removed the damaged section of the intestines, and performed an intestinal obstruction repair surgery. The child is currently receiving the necessary healthcare at ICU; to complete his treatment plan and receive central nutrition, until stability of his health status.
