The Urology Department of King Fahad Hospital in Madinah has served 910 beneficiaries and performed 353 endoscopes, during the last months of January and February.
In the same vein, the medical team at the hospital has recovered kidney function and extracted a number of stones in a patient who was suffering from chronic abdominal pain. After checkups, he was diagnosed with a kidney misplaced in the pelvis of the lower abdomen, with the presence of multiple stones and urinary tract obstruction. The team decided to perform a surgery, during which they have successfully recovered the kidney’s function, extracted the stones, and corrected the obstruction. The patient left the hospital in good health.
