Marking the World Obesity Day, the Eastern Region Health Affairs has organized awareness events under the theme (Everybody Needs to Act), benefiting 2,700 persons.
The events included 7 educational boots, namely obesity causes, and complications, obesity in schools, pharmacy, nutrition, bariatric surgery, exercises, and success story booth. It added.
The events aim to raise awareness among community members about the causes and complications of obesity and the long-term and short-term risks and methods of prevention.
