According to Asir Health Affairs, during the last month of December, 3,600 inspection tours were conducted to private health facilities by its compliance teams; with a view to ensuring their compliance with the precautionary measures to stop the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). 81 violations were recorded against private facilities.
They also visited 48 specialized complexes with dermatology and cosmetology departments to monitor violations of unlicensed cadres or using laser without a doctor’s supervision, and recorded violations against 6 complexes. During a week, the field teams also conducted 489 visits to pharmacies across the region to ensure the availability of medications, 85 pharmacies were referred to infringement committees.
