According to Taif Health Affairs, during the last year, 2021, the primary healthcare centers (totaling 114) have served 1,448,948 patients, with 17,908 at chronic disease clinics, 148,834 at dental clinics, 170,724 at immunization clinics, 10,104 at school health clinics, and 506,582 patients at family medicine clinics. Also, 181,832 patients were served by the general clinics, and the rest of the patients were served by other clinics such as internal medicine clinics, pregnancy clinics, and others.
It added that 21 healthcare centers have obtained accreditation of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), noting that 4 centers provide extended healthcare services and 3 others are open around the clock to receive cold cases, to relieve pressure on the emergency departments of the general hospitals in the directorate.
